JUST Open Source Stiftung Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, has the mission to foster and support research, development and adoption of future decentralized technologies to build a new, more sovereign internet: where users are the true owners of their data.
We are looking for a Program Manager with experience in the academic world (Informatics, Engineering or Software Development) who is able to work as a freelancer for the Foundation managing a new project. This program aims to fund the study and research of Web3 technologies in the academic world. Experience with Masters degrees/PhD positions and with stipendium/scholarship programs (either as an applicant or as Project Manager) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- To structure a program focused on providing financial support/scholarships for university students in their Masters or PhD degrees journeys, focusing their research on Web3 technologies.Â
- To set up guidelines and the programs’ pipeline, including application process and conditions for eligibility.
- To lay out the application process and ideate ways to publish this on our websites and social media.Â
- To become the liaison between the Foundation and educational institutions to ensure students are aware of this new opportunity and the work of the organization.Â
- To monitor applications, ensure speedy response and control submissions to fulfill the conditions stipulated.Â
Nice-to-have’s:
- Experience working with Web3 technologies in a previous role
- Software Programming experience (ideally working with Rust and/or Javascript, Go, C++)
- Technical ability to test software (experience with systemic evaluations)
