Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Podproza, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge blockchain projects and lead data-driven strategies to combat cryptocurrency fraud and financial crime. You will work with a diverse, international team, developing systems that improve efficiency and are built to scale. As a mentor, you will also guide and enhance our coding practices, helping to elevate the skills of our development team. This role is based in Prague.
What You'll Do:
- Software Development: Engage in the design, development, and deployment of high-quality Python code tailored for blockchain applications. Ensure that all code is optimized for performance, thoroughly documented, and production-ready.
- System Integration:Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to integrate data analysis algorithms into scalable software systems.
- Automation and Optimization: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline processes, improve system efficiency, and enhance the overall performance of our applications.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize your problem-solving skills to debug and resolve software issues, ensuring the reliability and security of our systems.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews, implement rigorous testing, and maintain high standards of code quality to ensure robust and reliable software.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Python programming and blockchain technology. Apply this knowledge to refine your development techniques and contribute to the evolution of our software solutions.
Your Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience: At least 8 years in software development, with a track record of leading projects from conception to deployment.
- Python Proficiency: Expertise in Python, including deep familiarity with its core libraries and advanced application frameworks.
- Software Development Skills: Proven competence in designing robust software architectures and delivering scalable applications.
- Software Lifecycle Familiarity: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles to support modern workflows and team alignment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex software issues.
- Autonomy: Comfortable working independently and capable of driving results without extensive oversight.
- Communication Skills: Excellent command of English with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. (Czech not required).
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Preferred:
- Blockchain Knowledge: Familiarity with blockchain technology is a plus but not required, as we provide internal training.
